EDIT 07/20/2010: I forgot I wanted to change a line in one of the panels. I dont know if it makes any more sence to you guys, but to me it does.
Scotty sent Owat to engineering to do repairs while the ship's clock was on Gama shift; when he is down there later with Arthur, it is well past then. It keeps to the 'hyperfocusing'-ness she has.
